THE MINDROLLING MONESTARY a.k.a. The Buddha Temple

Its a Tibetan religious place located in Mohabewala, Clement Town,dehradun just few kilometers away from ISBT Dehradun. Its also known as Buddha Monestry or Buddha Garden.

To reach the temple from clock tower go down Delhi highway road past the ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminal) until you reach signs for Clement Town. There are a few signs within Clement Town directing one to the temple but as you approach the top of the spire can be seen from some distance as can the large Buddha statue.

Its one of the tourist place after F.R.I in dehradun with greenry everywhere.

HISTORY

Buddha temple is a Tibetan monastery,build in 1965 by his eminence the Kochen Rinpoche and few other monks for the promotion and protection of religious and cultural understanding of Buddhism.
Built in Japanese architecture style, Buddha temple provides a mental peace equal to Buddhist monk.
