A meme star "Grumpy Cat" wins $710,000 in copyright case

Los Angeles ( victory in a court) :

It wont put a smile on her notoriously pouty face but Grump cat,the feline who became an internet viral memestar and a hugely lucrative brand,has just won $710,000 in court.


What was the case ?

The five year old web sensation feaguref in a range of Granade's drinks dubbed "Grumpiccions".But Bundsen's company Grumoy cat Ltd argued that the drinks firm had gone beyond its contract by using the cat's face on a hkst kf unauthorised priducts,including ground coffee.A court document showed the the jury sided with Bundsen, awarding her $710,000.The moody looking  moggy was at the centre of a copyright infringement case in federal court which culminated with the jury filling in favour of her human pet Tabatha Bundse.

 pronounced underbite.She went viral ,

Internet fame soon turned into hard cash as Grumpy cat became a celebrity in her own rigjt,making cameos in films and TV shows , appearing at Comicon and red carpet premiers and featuring in a host of lucrative merchandise deals.She's been successful enougj that her owner was forced to bat down rumours her pet was worth $100m.
