IPL 2018: Pant takes Orange Cap back from Williamson on Match day 44, Purple cap stays with Tye


Delhi Daredevil's Rishabh Pant made 64 to take the Orange Cap back from SRH's Kane Williamson on Match day 44 of IPL 2018 on Sunday.                                                           However, the Purple Cap saw no such movement and stayed with KXIP's Andrew Tye (24 wickets in 14 games). Rishabh Pant took his overall tally to 684 runs in 14 matches and left Williamson 23 runs behind.                                                         Pant has been brilliant in what has been a dismissal season for Delhi Daredevils. The 20 year old ended the tournament with an average of 52.61 and a phenomenal strike rate of 173.60 with a century to his name.
Rishabh Pant has also hit the maximum number of sixes by any batsmen this season with 37 maximum to his name.
The youngster again to the rescue of his team in the final match of the IPL 2018 for Delhi. Having lost Glenn Maxwell and Prithwi Shah inside the powerplay, Pant took his time to get settled.
Rishabh Pant has broken the Robin Uthappa's record of 660 runs in IPL 2014. But the Delhi left hander could see his record being broken later in the day with Kings XI Punjab taking on Chennai Super Kings.
